Mills produces products that are:

Roll Forming

Rollforming is a continuous bending operation in which a long strip of metal (typically coiled steel) is passed through consecutive sets of rolls each performing only an incremental part of the bend, until the desired cross-section profile is obtained.

Rollforming is ideal for producing close tolerance, high volume metal parts. Parts can be functional and decorative. The process is well suited for replacing higher cost plastics and extruded parts.

The ability to incorporate several secondary operations into the roll forming line significantly reduces overall cost to the customer.

Hydroforming

Hydroforming is a process whereby fluid pressure is used to exert force on the interior of a tube.  Sufficient pressure and end feeding of the tube results in the elastic formation of the tube and allows it to conform to the shape of the tool cavity. Hydroforming allows complex shapes to be formed, which would be difficult or impossible with standard solid die stamping.  In many cases, it can be a viable alternative to extruding or die casting for aesthetic or structural parts. Hydroformed parts can often be made with a higher stiffness to weight ratio and at a lower per unit cost than traditional stamped or stamped and welded parts. This technology lends itself to a wide variety of styling and structural applications.

Mills Products specializes in thin wall tubular hydroforming.

Tubular Stamping

Tubular Stamping is a progressive process that starts with a coil or blank.

Varying shapes (round, oval, square, etc) and diameters are possible with this process and also allowing added features such as fasteners to be installed during the stamping process. Coined shapes including splines and threads are feasible along with text and other markings. Hemmed and coined edges can also be accomplished in this process to compliment the finished part. Outside dimensions are typically capable of being held to standard stamping tolerances and the material thickness variation affects only internal dimensions.

Assembly

Mills Products specializes in assembly of roll formed, hydroformed, die cast and stamped parts into complex assemblies and subassemblies currently being done by OEM's. Mills Products also welds many different assemblies utilizing robotic MIG and TIG welding. We currently weld stainless steel, cold roll steel, stainless castings and various other metals. Finishes including powder coating can be integrated into the process.

Customers can consolidate assembly needs and eliminate redundancy in packaging, handling, freight and multiple mark-up by using our broad assembly capabilities.

Let Mills vertically integrate your fabrication and assembly needs.
